Global
Address is a UK company that is a world leader in the supply
of international address data. Supporting over 240 countries
and a customer base that is worldwide, Global Address is
required to be operational for all time-zones that may require
support. Traditionally, Global Address has been a product
based business. With its rapidly expanding customer portfolio
the opportunity for provision of professional services is an
increasing requirement.
Global
Address recognised the need to more formerly account for time
being spent on pre-sales and client related activities and
demonstrate to fee-paying clients an audit of activity on
their behalf.
Initially,
PriorityOne was installed to enable the business to create a
hierarchy of clients and tasks against which time could be
booked. This cultural change to Global Address’s business
provided focus for its staff to prioritise in favour of
revenue generating work while providing key statistics to
optimise the financial running of the operation.

Gartner
Group (1998)
“Project success rates for normal Application
Development environments are dismal. Without transparent,
brutally honest planning and project management, development
projects will yield the same results every time – and at
increasing cost. Inadequate, incomplete, impossible or
misleading project plans will cause organisations with poor
planning and reporting processes to fail….. and at rates that
are double that of organisations who employ rigorous and
objective planning techniques. It represents a
‘bet-the-business’ process, whose failure could mean the
collapse of the business itself”. |
